Realistic war simulator

Nuclear War Simulator is a free project of developer Ivan Stepanov, designed to realistically portray and visualize large-scale nuclear conflicts. With over 13 thousand nuclear weapons on earth—which over 9 thousand are in military stockpiles, the simulation project focuses on the humanitarian consequences of a nuclear war. It may give you an answer to some questions regarding nuclear weapons—like what would happen if Russia, the United States, India, and Pakistan use their arsenals. By simulating the most relevant interlocking systems and processes, you will be able to see how nuclear disputes play out and its consequences on the human race.

What does nuclear war look like?

Nuclear War Simulator is unlike other war games, as a comprehensive list of interlocking systems and processes are set under a nuclear conflict. These are the command and control systems, locations and movements of forces, weapons delivery systems, and humanitarian consequences. These will come together to visualize and calculate the effects of nuclear weapons on a high-density population grid. It includes thermal radiation, overpressure, and fallout. Mass fires, population density, and casual density also affect all the said effects.

Once the explosions take place, the results will be calculated and visualized in seconds. You can create your own attack plans and conflict scenarios—such as placing yourself, family, and friends inside the simulator and calculate the probability of your survival. Another option is to design and set nuclear forces similar to that of current, past, or future arsenals. Other simulation options include the dynamics and timing of the conflict and the effects of a first strike.

It will mimic the effects based on a circular error probability and overpressure. Stepanov has also created mods to add more elements or new scenarios into the simulation. One mod for Nuclear War Simulator is China versus the United States. The context of the mod is that China launches a large scale cyber attack against the U.S. In response, the USA proceeds with a full nuclear strike from 3 separate Ohio-class ballistic missile subs in the Pacific.

Nuclear War Simulator is a complex and advanced simulator that comes with all the systems and processes that would elicit an international conflict. You will have full control of the simulation, making decisions that can make or break the nuclear war. As you play, the map will simulate the levels of radiation, casualties, and fallout. All of these will come together to show you the disturbing aftermath of nuclear weapons.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
